The Emergency Department at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital is a 22+ bed unit that offers state of the art technology and processes carried out by highly trained staff, who serve Southeastern Connecticut's community.
Physician-In-Triage:
The Emergency Department at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital offers an innovative approach to greeting and treating patients right as they arrive. During the hours of 11a-11p, patients arriving to the Emergency Department will be assessed by a Physician and a Nurse in the triage area. Tests and minor treatments and medicines are ordered and administered right after the patient's arrival!
FastER Care:
The FastER care section of Lawrence & Memorial Hospital's Emergency Department is a 6 bed unit that is equipped to care for patients with less acute illnesses and injuries in a competent and efficient manner. The FastER care area is open from 11a-11p every day and is staffed by a Physician, a Physician Assistant, a Nurse and a Tech.
