- Our Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum Unit offers parents-to-be a comfortable environments for giving birth.
- Each private suite has its own bathroom, rocking chair, crib, and a pullout couch for family members or friends.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- The only one of its kind in the region, L+M's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is ready to respond immediately in the case of newborn stress or premature birth.
- Board-certified neonatologists staff the 14-bed unit, along with highly skilled nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
- Our NICU staff provides one-on-one intensive care around the clock for the most critical newborn babies.
Childbirth Education
- Preparing for Birth to Breastfeeding to Caring for your Newborn contact Sandy Campbell at ext 2300. Classes held monthly to expectant and new parents. Register on-line.
- L+M sponsors several support groups and community programs geared toward women, such as: Prenatal Yoga Classes and Breastfeeding classes
Parenting Your First Child
A program for expectant and first-time parents that provides you with parenting information and support. Donations & employer match contributions are accepted.

OB-GYN Clinic
The OB Clinic provides comprehensive care to pregnant women who have Medicaid or are uninsured. Lab and ultra-sounds are done on site.

Connecticut Breast and Early Detection Program
A screening program at L+M for breast and cervical cancer of the CT State Department of Public Health - serving uninsured women who meet established eligibility guidelines. For more information please contact the office at 860.442.0711, ext. 2197.

- Nurturing Families - A state-wide program that assists parents, particularly high-risk parents, with the challenges of parenthood.
