Often the Hospital learns that a grateful patient or their family member wants to support the department where care was received. Donors are welcome to make a gift to virtually any department within the Hospital, or they can direct their support to the Development Fund, where it will be used for the most critical current needs.
Departments that are often selected for designated gifts include the Community Cancer Center, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Programs, Joslin Diabetes affiliate, Coronary Care and Intensive Care Units, Surgical Services, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Women & Children’s Services, and others. Donors are encouraged to contact us to explore the needs of a particular department, in order to make their gift as meaningful as possible.
Although gifts of any amount are welcome, the Hospital has received numerous major gifts and multi-year pledges that have been designated for specific departments. These generous commitments are sometimes recognized with a plaque and we urge interested donors to contact us to discuss the variety of Named Gift Opportunities that are available.
