Gynecologic oncology at the Lawrence + Memorial Cancer Center is provided in partnership with Women & Infants Hospital, Providence, Rhode Island.
The Program in Women’s Oncology at Women & Infants Hospital and the Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University has been an integral part of the medical community at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for nearly twenty years. The Program in Women’s Oncology sees patients at the L+M Cancer Center in affiliation with Dana-Farber Community Cancer Care, 230 Waterford Parkway South, Waterford, CT and provides consultative services for women with all types of gynecologic malignancies.
In addition, physicians from the Program in Women’s Oncology provide surgical assistance at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for women undergoing gynecologic surgery for complex gynecologic conditions and for women with early stage gynecologic cancer.
As part of delivering comprehensive gynecologic cancer care, the Program in Women’s Oncology provides patients access to a well-developed and successful clinical trials program. The Program in Women’s Oncology is a leader in the Gynecologic Oncology Group of the National Cancer Institute and many of its physicians are active and contributing members involved in the design and implementation of clinical trials for women with gynecologic cancers. Access to clinical trials provides patients expanded opportunities to undergo the most advanced treatment regimens including access to newer cancer therapies.
