Margaret Gilshannon named Deputy Director for Finance & Administration at Yale Cancer Center

New Haven, CT (September 30, 2021)Margaret Gilshannon, MHA, has been appointed Deputy Director for Finance & Administration at Yale Cancer Center. Gilshannon joined Yale Cancer Center last year as Senior Director of Finance & Administration, while also leading the Integrated Business Operations for the Department of Pathology at Yale School of Medicine. Gilshannon’s new position is effective October 1, 2021. 

As Deputy Director for Finance & Administration for Yale Cancer Center, Gilshannon will oversee the management of the clinical operations, business operations and finance, administration, research management, and clinical trials management. In addition, she will work together with Yale Cancer Center’s leadership team to further develop strategic planning process for the Center.

Prior to her work with Pathology, Gilshannon also served in similar roles for the Departments of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation and Emergency Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. Before joining Yale, Gilshannon spent 14 years in administrator and clinical leadership roles at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle.
