Surgical Services

Most surgery for pediatric patients is a same-day procedure and takes place in one of L+M's two same-day surgery centers, at Pequot Health Center, Groton or L+M Hospital in New London.

Pediatric patients and families are encouraged to make an appointment to attend a pre-surgery visit to help prepare them for their surgical experience and decrease anxiety about what will happen. They are also encouraged to watch the video "Erica's Surgery" for a picture of what to expect.
