Radiology and Biomedical Imaging recognized

Yale New Haven Hospital’s Radiology and Biomedical Imaging department recently received the HeartFlow CT Quality Award for 2021. This award recognizes top medical centers in the world that adopt coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA), advanced software that uses artificial intelligence to create a three-dimensional model of a patient’s heart. CCTA allows specialists to evaluate the impact a blockage has on the heart’s blood flow and determine the best treatment. With HeartFlow representatives are David Facchini, director, YNHH Diagnostic Radiology (left); Sean Mitchell, chief technologist, YNHH CT Scan (in scrubs); and Steffen Huber, MD, associate professor of Clinical Radiology and Biomedical Imaging and service chief of Body MRI, Yale Medicine (back).
