Payroll reminders and updates

Yale New Haven’s Payroll department issued these reminders about pay stubs and direct deposit:

  • Leave of absence: Employees who wish to view their pay stubs while on leaves of absence should go to Infor on the employee intranet, log in with their employee credentials and scroll down to the “Payroll Information” section.
  • Direct deposit of additional pay: In the past, payments to employees outside of the normal payroll cycle were issued via a manual check. Now, employees who already use direct deposit for their regular paychecks will also receive subsequent/off-cycle payments via direct deposit. Payroll has not changed the way payments are disbursed through direct deposit.

For more information about these or other issues, contact Payroll: 203-688-4905.

Safety matters: Patient-specific nutrition reminder

Employees are reminded to label patient-specific food with an approved label before putting it in a patient nutrition refrigerator. Order “Patient Food Labels” from the online Marketplace (in the “quick links” box on the employee intranet).

  • Open food must be discarded within three days of refrigeration.
  • Single-serving items must be used when opened and cannot be returned to the refrigerator.
  • Once food enters patient rooms it can no longer be placed in the patient nutrition refrigerator.
  • Call the Service Response Center, 203-688-9000, if a refrigerator needs cleaning.

The annual Wish Book, a gift list for Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital patients, is now online. The online catalog includes items hospital staff have suggested to help keep young patients’ spirits up through play and entertainment. Many Wish Book gifts are items families can’t purchase themselves. The items in the latest catalog are designed for gift-giving throughout the year, not just the holidays. Please help fulfill some of these wishes and make a difference in the lives of our pediatric patients and their families. Visit this year’s Wish Book to order an item online or make an online donation.
