Chika Anueyiagu, RN, DNP; Kimberly Claing; Will Cushing PA-C; and Thomas Donohue, MD


Chika Anueyiagu, RN, DNP, has been named clinical program director for Surgical Services. She joined YNHH in 2015 as patient services manager, Surgery (previously Verdi 5 West, now Verdi 3 South). In 2018 she also assumed oversight of the Main 6 Bariatric Surgery unit. In her new role, Anueyiagu oversees these units, along with SLA 2, EP 6-5, and SP 6-4. She earned her BSN and MSN/Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the State University of New York and her doctor of nursing practice from Fairfield University, and completed the Yale School of Management executive education program.

Kimberly Claing has been named executive director, System Business Office under Corporate Business Services. Since joining Yale New Haven over 30 years ago as an outpatient registrar, she has held various management positions. Claing earned her BS in economics from the University of Connecticut and her MBA in healthcare administration from the University of New Haven.

Will Cushing PA-C, has been named executive director, Yale New Haven Hospital Hospitalist Service. He joined YNHH in 2002 and has served in a variety of roles, most recently as director of the advanced practice providers for the Hospitalist Service. Cushing earned his master of medical science and PA degree from the Yale School of Medicine PA Program.

Thomas Donohue, MD, has been named vice president, Medicine Services, YNHH. He joined the former Hospital of Saint Raphael in 1999 as chief of Cardiology and has held a number of leadership positions, most recently executive director for the Hospitalist Service. In his expanded role, he continues to oversee the Hospitalist Service and serves as clinical service coordinator for Medicine. Dr. Donohue earned his MD from New York University School of Medicine, and completed his internship, residency and fellowship there.

Howard Cohen, RPh, MS; Marjorie Lazarre, PharmD, MBA; Marina Yazdi, PharmD; and Amber Zaniewski, PharmD


Howard Cohen, RPh, MS, has been named executive director, Smilow Pharmacy Services. In this role, he leads all Smilow pharmacy-related services across Yale New Haven Health delivery networks. Cohen joined Yale New Haven Hospital 10 years ago and was recently director of Oncology Pharmacy Services. He earned his BS in pharmacy from the University of Kansas, School of Pharmacy and his MS from Temple University School of Pharmacy in Pennsylvania. He completed an executive management fellowship at the Wharton School of Business - Leonard Davis Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Marjorie Lazarre, PharmD, MBA, has been named executive director, Pharmacy Business Strategy. In this role, she oversees business practices, along with operations and strategic growth plans in key pharmacy service lines. Since joining Yale New Haven over 20 years ago, Lazarre has held various positions, most recently, director of Pharmaceutical Purchasing and Business Practices. She earned her doctor of pharmacy degree from Howard University and her MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and completed a pharmacy residency at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Marina Yazdi, PharmD, has been named director, Pharmacy Strategic Initiatives. Throughout her 21-year pharmacy career at Yale New Haven, Yazdi has held numerous leadership positions, including manager, Clinical Pharmacy Services, and most recently, senior manager, NPC Pharmacy Network. She earned her BS in pharmacy and PharmD degree from the University of Connecticut and completed a pharmacy residency at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Amber Zaniewski, PharmD, has been named system director, Clinical Pharmacy Services, YNHHS. She joined Yale New Haven Hospital in 2004 as a pharmacy intern, and later served in various positions, including manager of Pharmacy Education and Residencies and, most recently, system associate director of Clinical Pharmacy Services. Zaniewski earned her PharmD degree from the University of Rhode Island School of Pharmacy and completed a pharmacy residency at Yale New Haven Hospital.
