YNHHS opens Digestive Health Center in Westport

Yale New Haven Health held a ribbon-cutting Aug. 3 to open a Digestive Health Center at 325 Riverside Ave., Suite 100, in Westport.

The Center is staffed by digestive diseases specialists from Yale Medicine and Northeast Medical Group. It provides coordinated care at one location for medical and surgical patients, including those having bariatric, colorectal and hernia surgery.

“These services provide residents of the area with ready access to comprehensive, top-quality care, and we are thrilled to dedicate this beautiful new location, close to home for so many,” said Cynthia Sparer, president of Ambulatory Services, YNHHS.

While most surgeries will be performed at Bridgeport Hospital or YNHHS’ Park Avenue Medical Center in Trumbull, patients will experience the convenience of attending pre- and post-surgery appointments in Westport.

In addition to the new Digestive Health Center, the Westport campus is home to Northeast Medical Group Family Medicine of Westport, which provides personalized primary care to adults and children.
