YNHH Auxiliary scholarships applications available

The Yale New Haven Hospital Auxiliary is offering $1,500 scholarships to area students planning to pursue careers in a health-related profession. Scholarships are based on academic excellence, financial need, personal statement and community service, including school and community activities. Applicants must be residents of one of the following towns: Bethany, Branford, Cheshire, East Haven, Guilford, Hamden, Madison, Milford, New Haven, North Branford, North Haven, Orange, Wallingford, West Haven or Woodbridge. Applications may be requested starting Feb. 7 at [email protected] or 203-688-5717. Submission deadline is March 8.

Pre-retirement workshop Feb. 14

A pre-retirement workshop will be held 8 am - 4 pm Tuesday, Feb. 14, Selina Lewis multipurpose room, Saint Raphael Campus. Employees may attend on work time with manager approval. The workshop will cover estate planning, YNHH retirement and Social Security benefits, Fidelity Investment options and maintaining a healthy lifestyle in retirement. Department name change announced

Yale New Haven Hospital's Physician Services department has been renamed "Medical Staff Administration" to better reflect the department's scope of work. The new name also reflects an increase in recent years in the composition of the YNHH medical staff to include a larger number of non-physician practitioners, including a wide range of advanced practice providers.
