IRS W-4 form redesigned

The IRS has redesigned Form W-4 (Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate) for 2020. You are required to submit a 2020 Form W-4 only if you: started working for a new employer after Dec. 31, 2019; claimed exemption from federal income tax withholding in 2019; or wish to make other changes to your W-4 for 2020, including changing the amount withheld from each paycheck for taxes. To determine if you’re having the right amount of tax withheld, use the IRS Tax Withholding Estimator. If, based on the results, you want to change your federal W-4 Form:

  • Log into Infor
  • Go to the “Payroll Information” section and choose “View/Edit Payroll Information”
  • Answer the security question
  • Choose “W-4 Federal,” then “Add New” button

If you change your withholding election in 2020, you are required to complete the new 2020 version of the form. If you need help changing your tax withholdings or completing the new W-4 form, consult with your tax advisor. Visit this government website for more information about the W-4 Form.
