YNHH employees asked to join May 6 Heart Walk
On Feb. 1, the Heart and Vascular Center of YNHH sponsored a kick-off meeting at the Saint Raphael Campus for the May 6 American Heart Association Greater New Haven Heart Walk. Keith Churchwell, MD, was guest speaker. A kick-off meeting for York Street Campus team captains was scheduled for March 2.
Spring is quickly approaching, and that means warmer weather and an opportunity to join the American Heart Association’s 30th Annual Greater New Haven Heart Walk, Saturday, May 6 at Savin Rock, West Haven. This year’s walk is co-chaired by Keith Churchwell, MD, senior vice president, Operations, and executive director, Heart and Vascular and Transplantation Services, YNHH; and Henry Cabin, MD, medical director, YNHH Heart and Vascular Center. Team captains welcome fellow employees, their family members and friends to join one of YNHH’s walk teams. The event opens at 9 am; the walk begins at 10 am. Yale New Haven Health System is a walk sponsor and, with Yale University and Yale School of Medicine, has set a fundraising goal of $100,000. The event will also feature kids’ activities, health screenings and information, healthy snacks and lunch. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to walk. YNHHS participants will each receive a t-shirt. To register, visit www.newhavenheartwalk.org and choose YNHH/NEMG/Yale University as the company. There is no registration fee or fundraising minimum.
