Diversity and Inclusion offers e-learning while in-person classes on hold

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is committed to taking all COVID-19 precautionary measures to keep patients, employees and the community healthy and safe. Until further notice, all in-person Diversity and Inclusion classes are canceled, but four electronic (e-learn) classes are available for employees to take on their YNHHS or remote computers. Additionally, physicians, providers and social workers can earn continuing education credits for completing any of the e-learn courses. Available Diversity and Inclusion e-learn classes are:

  • Gender Identity – covers what gender identity is, terms used to describe gender identity, how to ask patients to provide this information and how to capture the information in Epic
  • Anyone Can Be An Ally - examines issues facing LGBTQ employees and how behaviors can create an unwelcoming work environment
  • Ouch! That Stereotype Hurts - provides techniques and communications skills for promoting inclusion and respect in the workplace
  • Defeating Unconscious Bias - addresses hidden biases that can affect hiring, promoting and team building and thwart creating a fair and inclusive workplace

For full course descriptions and to register for e-learn classes, visit the Infor Learning Management System. Questions? Contact Kwame Davenport, [email protected] or 203-502-6553.
