2020 election cycle reminder

YNHHS’ Community and Government Relations department reminds employees that primaries for presidential and state elections will be Tuesday, Aug. 11. If you are not registered to vote, you must do so by Thursday, Aug. 6, to vote in the primaries. Those who can’t vote in person should request an absentee ballot application ASAP by visiting their local registrar of voters office, or downloading an absentee ballot application on the Connecticut Secretary of State website. The absentee ballot application must be completed, signed by the registered voter and returned to the voter’s local registrar of voters office on or before 5 pm Tuesday, July 21. July 31 Let’s Talk event to explore self-love and acceptance

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion invites YNHHS employees to the latest in its Let’s Talk series: “A Journey to Self-Love and Acceptance,” with Tony Ferraiolo. The event will be held via Zoom, noon - 2 pm Friday, July 31. Participants will learn techniques for bringing their authentic self to any situation and best practices to support trans and non-binary youth. Ferraiolo has provided motivational trainings nationwide and dedicates himself to promoting competent and respectful health care for the transgender community by educating providers and advocating on behalf of patients.
