The Heart and Vascular Center was recognized for meeting specific criteria and standards of performance for quick and appropriate treatment of STEMI patients, by providing emergency procedures to re-establish blood flow to blocked arteries when needed. Eligible hospitals must adhere to AHA measures at a set level for 12 consecutive months to receive the award.
