Auxiliary membership drive in October

The Yale New Haven Hospital Auxiliary is a diverse and dynamic group of women and men who play a vital role in helping the hospital better serve patients, support the community and fulfill the hospital's mission. The Auxiliary has donated millions of dollars toward hospital programs, services, scholarships, and health education in the community, and supports a wide variety of programs. The Auxiliary board is composed of community leaders, corporate executives, professionals, parents and employees. Bakers wanted for "cookie wars"

YNHH seeks employees to donate homemade treats for a "cookie wars" event to benefit United Way of Greater New Haven: 11 am - 2 pm (judging at noon) Thursday, Nov. 3, York Street Campus special events area. The event will be similar to the "cupcake wars" of the past three years. Employees will donate homemade cookies; people are invited to sample the desserts and make a United Way donation. A team of judges will choose the cookie wars winner, who will receive a gift basket. A limited number of baker slots are available and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Warmth and Wellness clothing drive in October

YNHH's Mutual Respect Committee is working with the Adult and Pediatric emergency departments on the Warmth and Wellness event, a winter clothing drive for patients in need. From now through Oct. 31, the MRC asks employees throughout the hospital to donate new winter clothing items, including gloves and mittens, socks, winter scarves and hats. All sizes for adults and children are needed; new items only, please.
