Beckman is among 230 nurse leaders worldwide inducted into the 2020 class of Fellows, recognized for their significant contributions to advance the public’s health. “Recognition by the American Academy of Nursing as a Fellow is among the highest honors to be bestowed on a nurse,” said Karen S. Hill, DNP, chief operating officer/chief nursing officer, Baptist Health Lexington, and editor-in-chief, The Journal of Nursing Administration. “Dr. Beckman exemplifies the importance of replicating leadership lessons for strengthening health systems to improve care,” added Ann Kurth, PhD, dean, Yale School of Nursing.
