Lisa Crowther, APRN, MSN; Julie Wurcel


Lisa Crowther, APRN, MSN has been named patient service manager, Advanced Heart Failure and Electrophysiology, in the Heart and Vascular Center at Yale New Haven Hospital. She joined YNHH in 2008 and has been a nurse in the Heart and Vascular Center Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit and, most recently, cardiac transplant coordinator in the Advanced Heart Failure program. Crowther earned her BS in nursing from the University of Phoenix and an MS in nursing with a nurse practitioner concentration from Maryville University.

Julie Wurcel, senior employee relations specialist, Yale New Haven Health System, recently received the Employer Engagement Award from HAVEN, a non-profit Connecticut organization that assists healthcare professionals with health concerns related to substance abuse, behavioral or mental health issues and/or physical illness. The award, also presented to YNHHS’ Employee Relations/ Human Resources departments, honors employers who have developed ways to help employees confront the challenges of physical and/or mental illness with dignity and compassion. Wurcel was recognized for efforts that include coordinating an education conference for nurse managers, supporting employee interventions and partnering with nursing leaders to support providers through the recovery process.
