National Patient Experience Week is April 27 - May 1

Our celebration of National Patient Experience Week at Yale New Haven Health, April 27 - May 1, is a thank you from our patients for your commitment and kindness. You are doing extraordinary things: opening new units, developing innovative practice guidelines and providing exceptional care to every patient. Our patient satisfaction scores are the highest ever, with patients and families recognizing your amazing efforts. More than 5,000 times they have called you “kind” and “helpful,” “professional” and “compassionate.” Your collaboration with one another and connection to our patients matters to them most. Patient Experience supports you, through the use of iPads for video chats with families, the “get-well cards” from the community and the motivational songs played when a COVID-19 patient is discharged. Thank you for your dedication and exemplifying our values every day.

Have you completed your U.S. Census questionnaire?

Most U.S. households should have received an invitation in the mail to respond to the U.S. Census. The deadline for completing a Census form is April 27, and there are different ways you can respond:

  • Online at www.2020census.gov
  • Via a mailed paper survey
  • By phone, with a U.S. Census Bureau Contact Center interviewer

The Census is the federal government’s effort to gather information about how many and where people live in the United States. It also includes information about people’s ages, genders, races/ethnicities, income levels, housing and other demographic data. Yale New Haven Health is one of many organizations partnering with the U.S. Census Bureau to encourage participation. Data gathered during the Census determine how much federal funding Connecticut will receive for numerous programs and services. Learn more at www.2020census.gov.

May 2 Heart “Walk” goes virtual

Whether you walk in your neighborhood, ride your bike or plan an in-home workout, you can join in the Saturday, May 2 American Heart Association’s 33rd Annual Greater New Haven Heart Walk.
