Car seat checks return to L+M Hospital

Monday, July 16, 2018

New London, CT (July 16, 2018) – Free weekly car seat safety checks will return to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital beginning Thursday, August 9.

“Our responsibility in the community goes beyond the four walls of the hospital. That’s why it is important we provide this much needed program,” said Patrick L. Green, president and CEO. “Our organization is committed to the safety of the entire community – especially our children.”

Beginning August 9, the safety checks will take place at the hospital every Thursday from 4 to 7 pm on the first level of the parking garage, which is accessible closest to the main entrance.

Safety checks will be provided by The Safety Group, an organization in Waterford staffed by nationally certified child passenger safety instructors who have conducted more than 15,000 car seat safety checks and installations.

Appointments are required and can be made by calling The Safety Group at 860-574-9724.
