Connecticut Sun Announces Medical Partnership With Yale New Haven Health

Yale New Haven Health To Become Official Medical Provider of the Sun

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (April 10, 2019) – The Connecticut Sun has entered into an exclusive deal with Yale New Haven Health that designates the state’s most prominent Health System as the Official Medical Provider of the Connecticut Sun and includes branding on the Sun’s home and away jerseys.

A key component of the partnership is inclusion of the Yale New Haven Health logo featured prominently on the left shoulder of the official jerseys worn by Sun players throughout the 2019 season. The 2019 Sun jerseys will be featured on ESPN2 at the 2019 WNBA Draft presented by State Farm on April 10 at 7 p.m. The Sun have picks nine, 21 and 33.

Through this partnership, Yale New Haven Health and the Sun will work together on a range of initiatives to directly benefit the local community. From basketball clinics to supporting established WNBA pillars such as Breast Health Awareness, the two entities will collaborate on long-term programs for people of all ages. In addition to other traditional marketing assets, the partnership also includes comprehensive care for Sun players throughout the season.
