New London, CT (Dec. 11, 2017) – B. Michael Rauh, president and chief executive officer of Chelsea Groton Bank, was recently named chairman of the board of directors of L+M Healthcare and Lawrence + Memorial Hospital. Rauh, who began his role in October, succeeds R. Alan Hunter.

Rauh has been part of the L+M Hospital board since 2011 and the L+M Healthcare board since 2014.

“We are fortunate to have a leader like Michael Rauh as our chairman,” said Patrick L. Green, president and CEO of L+M Healthcare. “Michael has been an integral part of our board, helping to guide us through our affiliation with Yale New Haven Health. I look forward to partnering with him as we define the future of L+M Healthcare by transforming the organization and to further improve the health of our community.”

“Lawrence + Memorial Hospital is vital to our region,” Rauh said. “I’m excited for this opportunity, particularly as we continue to enjoy the benefits of our affiliation with Yale New Haven Health. In just one year, we have seen a substantial financial turnaround and stability, as well as an increase in access to care in our community.”
