A leader in cardiovascular care, Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, provides expertise in a wide range of cardiac and vascular services, including elective and emergency angioplasty, varied comprehensive diagnostic tests and clinical procedures, as well as outpatient cardiac rehabilitation.

With nearly 40 years of experience, advanced equipment and a skilled, compassionate staff, Lawrence + Memorial Hospital is a leader in cardiovascular care for residents throughout eastern Connecticut.

L+M’s board-certified cardiologists – community-based, with Yale-affiliated Northeast Medical Group or Yale Medicine – provide numerous services. These include simple diagnostic check-ups; advanced procedures for coronary artery disease like angioplasty and stenting; heart arrhythmia (electrophysiology) services including pacemakers and defibrillators; and a congestive heart failure program that combines inpatient care with outpatient education and follow-up. We also have an inpatient Coronary Care Unit. Each of our offerings aims to help promote heart-healthy lifestyles.

L+M also provides a range of vascular services, including a limb preservation program, peripheral arterial disease management program and a vascular lab for non-invasive tests that include vascular ultrasound and exercise ABIs. Interventional cardiologists, interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons perform advanced endovascular procedures such as angioplasty and stenting. Vascular surgeons provide a wide range of surgeries including lower extremity arterial bypass and carotid endarterectomy.
