• 14 beds of the 16-bed unit are private.
• Hospital-based unit where we provide diagnostic and follow-up testing throughout your stay; primary care physicians and consulting physicians can participate in your care.
• Daily physiatrist visits.
• WiFi is available throughout the unit, and a desktop computer is provided for patient use. Patients are also welcome to bring and use their own laptops or personal devices.

Quality Rehabilitation Services at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital

We track and document the success and effectiveness of our programs using the following independent national data collections systems:

• Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) reviews and grants accreditation services nationally and internationally. Their standards are rigorous, so those services that meet them are among the best available. CARF focuses on ensuring that the services provided meet patients’ needs and support the highest quality of care and best possible outcomes.
• Uniform Data Systems for Medical Rehabilitation (UDSMR) allows us to measure ourselves against the region and the nation. This national outcome system supplies us with necessary information to make informed decisions, identify opportunities for improvement and provide the best care possible.
• The FIM System® allows providers to document the severity of a patient’s disability and track rehabilitation progress, creating a standardized measure for comparing outcomes across rehabilitation programs. It allows clinicians to follow changes in the functional status of their patients from the start of rehabilitative care through discharge and follow-up.
• IT HealthTrack Inc. supports quality improvement in healthcare by providing facility administrators with accurate, reliable data collection and management services to measure and enhance follow‑up outcomes related to patients’ functional performance.
