Remote Access

Remote Access to Our Online Library Resources

When you are in the hospital, you can access all of the library’s online resources from any computer, anywhere in the hospital.

When you are outside the hospital, you can access our resources through LibLynx, with 24/7 access from your mobile devices or any computer with an internet connection.

To sign up for an account:

  • Register with LibLynx
  • Use your hospital email address (@lmhosp.org or @westerlyhospital.org)
  • After you register you will receive an email from LibLynx asking you to activate your account. (You may need to check your Spam or Junk folders.)
  • Once you activate your account, you have access.

Remote Access to UpToDate

Note: Please create your UpToDate account through the Library Services link on the EPIC Toolbar. (Otherwise, you will be required to log into UpToDate periodically to reauthorize your acccount.)

You must register for a free account in order to access UpToDate through a mobile app or remote access.

  • Log into EPIC on an L+M or Westerly Hospital computer
  • Open the Library Services link on the EPIC toolbar, then open UpToDate.
  • Select the register link in the upper right corner
  • Fill out the registration form and choose your user name and password. Use your L+M or Westerly email when registering. You will be emailed a verification code. Follow the instructions in the email.
  • Download the UpToDate app to your smartphone or tablet.
  • Open and activate the UpToDate App by logging in.
