General Ultrasound

All of our sites and locations for the Ultrasound imaging departments are accredited by the AIUM (American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine) we voluntarily seek this peer-review as a way to ensure that all procedures and exams we perform follow their specific and strict guidelines and are of the highest quality.

We perform a variety of exams including Abdomen, Kidney's, Aorta, Thyroid, Prostate, Testicular, Obstetrical, Gynecological ,and Pediatric exams. All Breast Ultrasounds are performed in the Breast Imaging Department by registered technologists.

All of our staffed Sonographers are required to be RDMS. This status is obtained by passing several registry boards by the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) which is globally recognized for setting high standards in Sonography, not only for quality but patient safety as well.

We offer Ultrasound imaging at all of our sites as well as the main campus with advanced state of the art Ultrasound equipment which has the capability of 3D/4D volume imaging and allows optimal penetration for larger patients where other units fail.

We are proud of our affiliation with Yale to provide high risk Perinatology services that work with each patients obstetrician to provide the most complete care. We are one of the few departments that offer thyroid cancer screening exams and work closely with the Joslin Diabetes Center in providing imaging quidance for interventional exams.
